Thyroid Surgery
About the organ. The thyroid is a butterfly-shaped gland that sits in your neck, draped across the windpipe (trachea). It produces thyroid hormones that control your metabolism, including heart rate, temperature, weight, digestive function and cognitive abilities.
Parathyroid Surgery
About the organ. The parathyroid glands are small pea-sized glands located around the thyroid in the neck. Most people have four parathyroid glands, two in the left side and two in the right side of the neck. The parathyroid glands control the balance of calcium in your blood by making parathyroid hormone (PTH).
Adrenal Surgery
About the organ. The adrenal glands sit above your kidneys. They are endocrine glands that produce various hormones (adrenaline, aldosterone and cortisol) which help regulate essential functions like your blood pressure, metabolism, immune system, and response to stress.

Hernia Surgery
About the condition. A hernia occurs when an organ pushes through an opening in the muscle or tissue that holds it in place. There are various types of hernia including inguinal, femoral, umbilical and incisional.
Gallbladder Surgery
About the organ. Gallbladder is a pear-shaped organ that sits below your liver, in your upper right abdomen. It stores and concentrates bile from the liver. The bile then helps to digest and absorb fats from food in your small intestines.
Minor Procedures
- Carpal tunnel surgery. Carpal tunnel syndrome occurs when a pinched nerve in the wrist causes numbness and tingling in the hand. The surgery involves an incision in the palm of your hand over the carpal tunnel ligament and cuts through the ligament to relieve pressure on the median nerve.
